JANUARY 2008 BRAGS
• Pat Szuch’s Doberman puppy, Barchet Ghost Legend aka “Dexter” did well at the Cleveland Classic. Dexter went Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 3 point major on December 13th for his second major! The following three days, he was Reserve Winners Dog to 3 point majors
• Cathy Ross’ English Springer Spaniel, Vistah’s Navy, CGC earned a three point major in Columbus, OH during the Central Ohio Kennel Club show on Sunday, November 18th. He only needs one single point to finish his Championship, completely owner-handled. At the Cleveland Classic cluster of shows, he earned his Rally Novice title and did so by qualifying in three consecutive tries. His score on Sunday was an impressive 94.
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie, CH. Comebye High Jynx, (Jynx), finished his MX agility title on Friday, December 14th at the Cleveland Crown Classic.
• Shelley Schweinsberg’s Miniature Schnauzer, Isar’s Shakespeare Von Baron, CGC, CD, RN, RA earned his Rally Advanced title on Saturday, December 15 at the Richland County Kennel Club show in Cleveland. He managed to get this title in three days.
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie, CH. Comebye Rock This Town, (Roxie), finished her AX title on Saturday, December 15th at the Cleveland Crown Classic cluster of shows.
• Shelley Schweinsberg’s English Cocker Spaniel, Ziel-lor’s Lucy Blue, CGC, CD, RN, RA earned her Rally Advance title at the Richland County Kennel Club show on December 15th in Cleveland.
• Shelley Schweinsberg’s English Cocker Spaniel puppy, Prima & Shel-rae’s Orange Zest at Ziel-lor earned a 3rd place in her 9-12 puppy class on Thursday and 4th place in the 9-12 puppy class on Sunday at the Cleveland shows. This weekend marked her first appearances in the conformation ring and she showed her little heart out.
• Crystal Morton’s U-CH Sirius Stellar Performance CD,RN,OA,NAJ,NAP,NJP,CL3-R,CL2-H,CL2-
F,CGC,OV,VT (Darby) qualified in Cleveland in Open Jumpers with a second place score. He then went to CPE trials where he qualified in all 6 of his runs with one first place, four second places and one third place where he completed 2 more CPE titles.
• Crystal Morton’s home bred Shetland Sheepdog, owned and handled by Tim Manzewitsch , MACH Vista Dei Luvme Like a Rock
XF (Regis), competed in the International Sweepstakes Class where he earned a second place in Std ISC with a time of 34.26 sec., losing by only one second to the top-ranking agility Sheltie in the country. He also earned another Double Q, bringing his total up to 6 QQ toward his MACH2 and 1922 total speed points.
• Tera Majors Brussels Griffon, Majors High Drive Gunner CGC TDI RE OA AXJ, (Gunner), earned his second leg toward his MXJ on Friday at the Medina Kennel Club show during the Cleveland Crown Classic.
DECEMBER 2007 BRAGS
• Pat Szuch’s Doberman puppy, Barchet Ghost Legend aka “Dexter” went Reserve Winners Dog on Nov. 2nd at the Bald Eagle Kennel Club show in Bloomsburg, PA. He was Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 3 point major Nov. 15th at the Sandusky Kennel Club show (handled by Tim Thomas).
• Staci Pearson’s Briard, Love Is a Godly Virtue (Veri), had a grand time at the Columbus cluster of dog shows. She was WB & Best of Winners at the Sandusky Kennel Club show on Nov. 15th. She was Reserve Winners Bitch at Dayton on the 16th and was Winners Bitch again at the Lima Kennel Club show on the 17th.
• Kris Rilbe’s Border Collie, Andy, completed his Excellent FAST title the day after Thanksgiving while at the agility trial in Edinboro.
• Kris Rilbe’s Golden Retriever, Angel, got 3 double Qs during the weekend of November 4th at the Edinoro agility trials and returned the weekend after Thanksgiving, picking up 2 more double Qs.
• Kris Rilbe’s Flat Coated Retriever, Abby, got 5 out of 6, for 2 double Qs at the agility trial in Edinboro the weekend of November 4th.
November 2007 BRAGS
• Bonnie Dinsmore’s German Shepherd Dog Von Adlerhof’s Count Orlok recently received his hip evaluation which was an OFA EXCELLENT! Only 3% of GSD's tested, receive the rating of Excellent.
• Pat Szuch’s Doberman puppy, Barchet Ghost Legend aka “Dexter” (upon consistently taking 1st place in his classes) went: Reserve Winners Dog Sept. 8th & 9th at Ebensberg & Indiana (handled by Tim Thomas); Reserve Winners Dog Sept. 15th at Lehigh Valley, Macungie, PA.; got 3rd place out of 12 puppies in the 6-9 month class on October 4th at the DPCA NATIONALS and Winners Dog for 1 point on October 7th at BCKC at the young age of 8 months (handled by Tim Thomas).
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie, CH. Comebye High Jynx AX, AXJ (Jynx) completed his obedience CD at the Ft. Steuben Kennel Assn. show on October 6th in Raccoon Twp. He earned this title in three straight shows.
• Crystal Morton’s Shetland Sheepdog, U-CH Sirius Stellar Performance CD,RN,OA,NAJ,NAP,NJP,CL2-R,CL2-H,CGC,OV finished his Open Standard title at the BCKC agility trials. He also won Champion of Champion class 3 more times at Carnation City Kennel Club UKC shows and now just needs 2 more wins to become a Grand Champion.
• Lorraine Fox’s Labrador Retriever, Precious Ironweed Ramblin’ Xena received her Jr. Hunter title with her first four straight passes at the Gr. Pittsburgh Labrador Retriever Club in Grove City, PA on Sept. 1 & 2, 2007 and the Gr. Pgh. Golden Retriever Club in Jackson Center, PA on Sept. 8 & 9, 2007. She also passed at the American Chesapeake Club in Hambden, OH on Oct. 7, 2007.
• JoAnn Thielman’s Boston Terrier Windi-Pines-Pro’s Dealers Choice (Isaac) was Winner’s Dog & Best of Winners at the Ft. Steuben Kennel Assn. show on Oct. 6th. At the Sunday BCKC show on Oct. 7th, he was Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed. Isaac was bred by fellow member Pat Rothenberg.
• JoAnn Thielman’s Boston Terrier Windi-Pine’s International Delight (Mocha) was Winner’s Bitch on Saturday at the Ft. Steuben KA show and Winner’s Bitch, Best of Opposite on Sunday at the BCKC show on Sunday.
• Karen & Rick Mulkearn’s Irish Water Spaniel CH. Castlehill’s Ode to Carey-Aine, RN competed in the Ultimate Air Dog competition at the Pittsburgh Pet Expo over the weekend of the 13th/14th. She made the finals on Sunday with a personal best of 13’ 6’. She earned both second place in Juniors and her 2007 Junior Title.
• Kris Rilbe’s Border Collie, Andy, earned his CDX with a second place and 188 points at the YABTC obedience trial on October 27th. He earned this title in his first three trials.
• Crystal Morton’s Shetland Sheepdog, U-CH. Millcreek Mystical Moment finished her UKC championship in Randolph, OH.
• Lorraine Fox’s Golden Retriever, Tanbark’s Precious Dakota JH passed the Junior Hunt tests at GPLRC on Sept. 1 & 2, 2007, GPGRC on Sept. 8 & 9, 2007 and the Am. Chesapeake’s on Oct. 7, 2007
• Kris Rilbe’s Golden Retriever, Angel, qualified in all three runs for a total of 31 points at the Cleveland Agility trial over the weekend of the 13th/14th.
• Kris Rilbe’s Flat Coated Retriever, Abby, earned 2 double Q’s and 1 single Q at the Cleveland agility trial for a total of 30 points.
• Karen & Rick Mulkearn’s Irish Water Spaniel, Ch. Liebran's Merry Toirneac, Am/Can CD, RAE, NAP, NJP, (Toir), competed at the Wine Country circuit in Romulus, NY in September and was successful in the 8 times in the ring. He made it into the Winners Circle on 4 occasions with 1 First place, 2 Second places and a Third place and earned more RAE2 legs. He also earned his final leg in Novice Standard (Preferred) at the Dayton Dog Training Club.
• Bev Tomei proudly announces the birth of Amber Lynn, her first grand child. Born to daughter Sarah & husband Nick on October 24th, both the parents and new baby are doing well.

• Bonnie Dinsmore’s German Shepherd Dog Vom Haus Libra’s Zora TT, HIC, (Zora), passed the American Herding Breed Association (AHBA) Herding Instinct Test and got her 1st leg of her HCT.
• Pat Lukos’ German Shepherd Dog, Signature’s Vela Von Charisma v Kridler, (Remi) was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners & Best of Breed at the Butler Co. KC show.
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie, CH. Comebye Rock This Town, OA, OAJ (Roxie) finished her Championship title with a three point major at the Erie Kennel Club show in Prospect, PA on Sunday, Sept. 23rd. She was completely owner handled to this title.
• Crystal Morton’s home bred Shetland Sheepdog, Vista Dei Luvme Like A Rock, (Regis) earned his Master Agility Championship on September 7th in North Olmstead, OH. Owned and handled by Tim Manzewitsch their journey from first competition to the MACH title only took 17 months of trials.
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie, Nikicina’s Kick It Up A Notch (Kixs) was Reserve Winners Bitch to her mom at the Erie Kennel Club show on the 23rd of Sept. This is the puppy Gina kept from her recent litter.
• JoAnn Thielman’s Boston Terrier Windi-Pines-Pro’s Dealers Choice (Isaac) was Winner’s Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex over two dog specials for a 3 point major at the Butler Co. Kennel Club show on Saturday, Sept. 22nd.. This is his second major win. He was handled by JoAnn.

• Karen Herceg’s Border Collie U-CD Patriot’s RQ Air Assault, UD, NA, HIC (Jenny) presented her owner with 7 little “Roblets”, 3 boys and 4 girls on Wednesday, August 1st. Mom & babies are all doing well.
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie, CH. Comebye High Jynx, AX, AXJ (Jynx), in his first return to the obedience ring since finishing his Championship, earned his first two legs toward his CD.
• Kris Rilbe’s Golden Retriever, Angel, got her Utility A title Friday at the Canfield show, taking first place.
• Kris Rilbe’s Border Collie, Andy, qualified in his first and only two performances in Open A. He took a first and second place Friday & Sunday at Canfield. At Tamarack, he completed his Novice FAST title and completed his Open FAST title in Cleveland.
• Dave & Lori Bible’s Old English Sheepdog, Rosebery Brandywyne Top Spin (Conner) was Best of Winners and Best of Breed (over a Special), earning his first point at the Mahoning Shenango Kennel Club show on Sunday in Canfield.. This youngster went on to earn a Group Four in his debut appearance in the Group ring shown by his breeder, Chris Gaburri, I believe.
• Karen Herceg’s Border Collie, CH. Norwood’s Hey Good Lookin, (Goody) at thirteen months old, finished her AKC Championship on Saturday, August 25th in Chagrin Falls, OH under Judge Carl Liepmann. She was Winner’s Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex for two points.
• Crystal Morton’s home bred Shetland Sheepdog, Vista Dei Luvme Like A Rock, (Regis) earned his #15 & #16 Double Q in Cleveland earlier this month and topped 1000 MACH points.

• Lorraine Fox’s Golden Retriever, Tanbark’s Precious Dakota JH attended the High Flyers Hunting Retriever Club in Grove City on May 19 & 20, 2007 where he received two passes toward UKC Started Hunter Retriever. At the Greater Pittsburgh Golden Retriever Club on June 23, 2007, he passed the Golden Retriever WC test. On July 1, 2007 at the Presque Isle Retriever Club in Erie, PA, he passed the Junior Hunter test.

• Joann Thielman & Linda Kubia’s Boston Terrier, Windi-Pines Winning Hand aka “Ace” went to the Boston Terrier National Specialty in Kentucky where he placed 2nd in 6-9 puppy sweeps, the first time in the ring.
• Joann Thielman’s Boston Terrier, Windi-Pines-Pros Dealers Choice, aka “Isaac”, bred by fellow member Pat Rothenberg, was 3rd in Sweeps and 1st in the regular 9-12 puppy class at the Boston Terrier National Specialty which was his second show.
• Joann Thielman’s Boston Terrier Windi-Pine’s International Delight, aka “Mocha”, was 3rd in the puppy sweeps AND 3rd in the regular puppy class at the Boston Terrier National Specialty in May.
• Joann Thielman’s Boston Terrier Sunwoods Just A Reflection, took 3rd place in the 15# & under at the National and returned home to earn Winners Dog on Sunday and Winners Dog/Best of Winners on Sunday at New Castle.
• Kris Rilbe’s Flat Coated Retriever Abigail Rilbe earned her Junior Hunter title at the GPGRC hunt test in May.
• Cathy Ross’ English Springer Spaniel Vistah’s Navy won Winners Dog, Best of Winners & Best of Breed over a Special during the Butler County Kennel Club show on Saturday, May 26th in New Castle. He went on to earn a Group 3 shown by owner handler Cathy. A first time occurrence for both handler and dog.
JUNE 2007 BRAGS
• Bonnie Dinsmore’s German Shepherd Dog Von Adlerhof’s Count Orlok, CGC and new German girl Vom Haus Libra’s Zora both passed their temperament tests in the pouring rain on April 28th in Butler.
• Kris Rilbe’s Border Collie Andrew Rilbe (Andy) bested all other dogs at the Cleveland trial on April 28th by running in Excellent Standard and finishing the course in 38.88 seconds. He also completed his CD in Youngstown on April 8th.
• Pat Lukos’ German Shepherd Dog CH. Sarava’s Valor V Von Charisma, OFA, TC (Tyler) was awarded Best of Breed for the FOURTH time at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Western PA. This year the show was held on May 6th. Tyler retired the Challenge trophy last year.
• Mary Sue Horton’s Border Collie “Reo” finished his Novice Standard title at the Westmoreland County Obedience Training Club over the weekend of May 11th-12th. He moved up to open standard where he took second place by finishing a 64 second course in 34.86 seconds.
• Tera Majors Brussels Griffon “Gunner” earned two first place wins in the Standard and Jumpers. This gave him his second leg in Jumper’s Open and first leg in Standard. Gunner’s wins took place at the Westmoreland County Obedience Trial on May 11th and 12th.
• Pat Lukos’ German Shepherd Dog, Signature’s Vela Von Charisma (Remi), was Winner’s Bitch & Best of Winners at the Trumbull County KC show on Thursday, May 24th and at the New Castle KC show on Friday, May 25th. She repeated this win at the second New Castle KC show on Monday, May 28th and added Best of Breed to the win.
• Pat Lukos’ German Shepherd Dog Von Charisma’s Zimba v Sarava was Reserve Winner’s Dog from the Bred By Exhibitor class at the Monday New Castle KC show. This was his first show.
• Bev Tomei’s German Shepherd Dog Von Alderhof’s Iron Man aka “Ozzy” won his 12-18 month class on Thursday, Friday and Monday at the Memorial Day cluster of shows at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
• Staci Pearson’s Brittany Love Scolton’s Joshua earned his first point Thursday at the Trumbull show and his second point on Saturday at the Butler Kennel Club show.
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie Comebye Rock This Town (Roxie) was Winner’s Bitch on Saturday at the Butler KC show and again on Sunday at the Trumbull KC show. It was one point each day and she did this while out of coat after recently having a litter of puppies.
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie Comebye High Jynx (Jynx) went to an Agility trial on Monday where he qualified in Excellent JWW for his 6th leg toward his MXJ. Two weeks prior to this, he also qualified with a first place in Excellent Standard for his 6th leg toward his MX.

• Joyce & Sam Butler’s Newfoundland CH. Butlers’ Farm Sailin’ Solo (Solitaire) finished her championship at the Detroit KC show on March 3rd by going Best of Winners for a 4 point major. Many thanks to Tim & Lisa Thomas who showed and took care of her from start to finish.
• Joyce & Sam Butler’s Newfoundland Butlers’ Farm Spaceman Spiff (Calvin) earned his first major on his first weekend out last December at the Western Reserve KC show by going Best of Winners for a 3 pt. major at ten months old with Tim. Then he earned TWO back to back 4 point majors on the Kentuckiana circuit (Evansville KC & Louisville KC). On Sunday at the WPKA show, Calvin was Best of Winners once again for two points. Calvin is Solitaire’s “baby” boy.
• Lori & Dave Bible’s Bearded Collie Watch Me Shine Brandywyne (Legend) was Winners Dog on Saturday at the Western Pennsylvania Kennel Assn. dog show. The next day, Sunday, he was Winners Dog and Best of Opposite Sex.
• Staci Pearson’s Briard, Love Vivo Vachel, (Grey) earned a four point major at Lebanon County KC. He followed that with a 3 point major at Terre Haute KC , another 3 point major at Bloomington KC and finished at the second Terre Haute show by taking Best of Breed over the #2 Briard in the country adding another major to his accomplishments. He finished his Championship with 5 majors and a BOB. Way To Go, Staci!
APRIL 2007 BRAGS
• Shetland Sheepdog Bred by Crystal Morton, Vista Dei Luvme Like A Rock AX, MXJ "Regis" finished his MXJ title Sat Feb 24 in Dayton Ohio at the Gem City Dog Obedience Club. On Saturday he finished the JWW course in 29.54 seconds, 10 seconds under course time for the title. On Sunday he finished the standard course in 44.21 seconds, 20 seconds under course time for the seventh of the 10 legs needed for his MX. In addition, he now has 4 double Q's and 326 points towards his MACH. Regis was bred by Crystal Morton and owned and handled by Tim Manzewitsch.
• Gina Cattivera’s Siberian Huskies, Snowfire’s In A N.Y. Minute aka “Flash” & Karnovanda’s Cold As Ice, aka “Ice” together produced an exciting litter of one boy and three girls early on March 5th. Mother and babies are doing fine while Papa is strutting his stuff. Congratulations!
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie (Roxie?) delivered a litter of 5 puppies (1 male & 4 girls) on Saturday, March 10th. Lots of puppy breath at that house.
• JoAnn Thielman’s Boston Terrier Windi-Pine’s Wind In The Willows aka “Willow” delivered a large litter of six girls and two boys on March 13th. Much pitter-patter of little Boston feet!
• Staci Pearson’s Briard, Love Vivo Vachel, (Vachel), on March 15th in Louisville, KY, won his first 3 Point Major. The very next day, he was Reserve to a 4 point major.
• Staci Pearson’s Briard, Love Valor Vini, (VinVin) earned his CGC on March 8th.
• Bonnie Dinsmore’s German Shepherd Dog, Von Cariss Panzer Zerstorer CD,CGC,TT,TDI, (Panzer), had his 12th birthday on March 17th. That earns him recognition by the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and he will receive a certificate and be published in the German Shepherd Review.
• Bonnie Dinsmore’s German Shepherd, Sacred Heart’s Gatekeeper, OFA H&E, CGC, TT (Keeper), delivered her litter of 6 girls and two boys by C-section on March 15th. Proud Papa is CH Sarava’s Valor V. Von Charisma, OFA H&E, TC (owned by fellow member Pat Lukos).
• Kelly Schnur’s Shetland Sheepdog, Hullston Hot Damn Here I Am (“Dani”) whelped her littler of two tri boys, two tri girls and one blue merle girl in the early hours of March 7th.

• Gary, Luann & Ashley Wenglik’s Boxer Robinson’s Italian Stallion of Hi-Tech aka “Rocky” was awarded one point as Winner’s Dog at the Wyoming Valley Kennel Club in Buffalo, NY on February 17th. The next day (the 18th) at the Olean Kennel Club show, also in Buffalo, Rocky again won one point as Best of Winners.
• Gina Cattivera’s Siberian Husky, Snowfire’s In A N.Y. Minute aka “Flash” traveled to his breeder in NY and at the Rockland County Kennel Club show, he was Winner’s Dog for a three point major.
• Gary & Luann Wenglik’s bred by exhibitor “Ashley” finished her Junior Handler career by being the #1 Boxer Junior Handler in the country and the #6 Junior Handler in the Working Group.
FEBRUARY 2007 BRAGS
• Gary, Luann & Ashley Wenglik’s Boxer Robinson’s Italian Stallion of Hi-Tech aka “Rocky” won two points at the Hamburg, NY show.
• Tina Turley-Kocab’s new Saluki puppy, Omen-Bushra’s Starlite, “Busy”, won Best of Opposite Sex at her very first show on Saturday, January 6th, out of the 6-9 months class with husband Mark handling her to her first point. On Sunday, also at Tallmadge, OH., she was Reserve Winners over the open bitches.

• Pat Lukos’ German Shepherd Dog Sarava’s Vanta v Von Charisma, “Viva”, was Winner’s Bitch & Best of Opposite Sex from the Bred By Exhibitor class on December 14th at the Cleveland Crown Classic show. On December 16th, at the same cluster of shows, Viva won a MAJOR from the Bred By Exhibitor class by going Winner’s Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex. Nice going, ladies!
• Gina Cattivera’s Border Collie Comebye Rock This Town, aka “Roxie” went to Cleveland on Saturday and Sunday, the 16th & 17th of December, and ran with Ralph Hysong at the Agility Trial. On both days, Ralph & Roxie qualified in Open JWW with a second and third place and completed her Open JWW title. Proves to me that a good girl can dance well with a multitude of partners. Congratulations to the three of you!!
• Staci Pearson’s Brittany Wind Mtn’s Dido of Love was Winner’s Bitch at the Lorain County Kennel Club show for a THREE point major. She finished her Championship with three majors and a Best in Sweeps. At Western Reserve Kennel Club she was Best of Opposite Sex. Congrats to Staci for her FOUR new Champions during 2006!
• Crystal Morton’s Shetland Sheepdog Vista Dei Luvme Like a Rock AX, AXJ “Regis” was at the IX Center in Cleveland with his owner Tim where he got his 4th Double Q toward his MACH and brought his Mach points up to 277. He also got 3 more legs toward his Master Jumpers title giving him a total of 9 of the 10 needed for that title.

• Karen & Rick Mulkearn’s Irish Water Spaniel CH. Liebran Merry Toirneac, Am/Can CD, RAE earned his second leg (with a third place) and his 3rd leg in Novice JWW Preferred at the Agility Trial in Cleveland. He also earned a 2nd leg (with a fourth place) in Novice Standard Preferred.
• Karen & Rick Mulkearn’s Irish Water Spaniel Lady Tara of Balyhara, CD, RE earned her 4th & 5th RAE legs at the Rally Obedience Trial in Cleveland.
• Cindy Burianek’s Parti Color Cocker Spaniel Hope’s Masked and Anonymous was Winner’s Dog from the Open class for a 4 point major at the Medina Kennel Club show in Cleveland. This gives him 11 points with one major.
• Rick & Karen Mulkearn’s Irish Water Spaniel CH. Castlehill’s Ode to Carey-Aine earned her first and second Novice legs in Rally at the Cleveland shows.
